Hello, I'm an amateur photographer/
videographer, after reading a lot of reviews i decided to take a gamble. A
lot of people say that these aren't true HMI lights......and i fully
understand that, but these lights very much so do what they are suppose to.
They aren't cheap but they are a lot cheaper than what the big brand HMI
lights cost and i also feel that using just two of them was enough to give me
the lighting i needed. All in all I'm satisfied with my purchase, take note
that a lot of the people in the reviews on different sites haven't used the
ALZO lights themselves they are strictly giving their opinion based off of
specification comparisons. In the end it's up to you but I'm happy with my
decision.

Pros: All standard connectors, sockets make it adaptable to many uses.
Affordable bulbs!
Cons: none so far
Best Uses: too many to describe

The two piece set is one of the most
versatile pieces of gear I own. In addition to it's expected use out of the
box, we've used it with other manufacturers gear to place it in Octabanks and
standard light boxes we already own. It's possible because you use standard
cords, connectors, etc. and that's big to me. The fact that it's usable to
upgrade performance of other manufacturers gear is huge to me, there's no
reason for you to sell something similar when it's already out there, it
shows me you do what you do best vs. just trying to sell us stuff we already
have; not many suppliers take this view.
Also, because your basic gear is high-quality, we've been able, for example,
to use the socket to hold a small tungsten bulb (aquarium light bulb) where
we needed just a little fill light and put it on a dimmer cord. Don't know if
you've looked but something simple like high quality socket with adjustable
5/8" standard mounting is practically non-existent.
Can't say enough great things about it, at the school where I teach
part-time, we're looking at buying a couple of kits for student use, they're
the only affordable HMIs with affordable replacement bulbs.
BTW, your prices are great considering the quality of the gear in a market
where gear is just plain expensive.
