The ALZO 800 DAYLIGHT HID- Ballast and Bulb Kit includes:

  • (1) ALZO 800 electronic ballast
    with elastic universal mounting straps
  • (1) 150 WATT DAYLIGHT HID bulb @5300K
  • (1) 15' power cord for 115VAC 60HZ

 

The versatile ALZO 800 BALLAST & BULB (B&B) kit that can be used in "lanterns", practical lighting and many other applications.

Specifications:

  • "Daylight" color temperature 5300K, CRI = 85
  • The bulb output intensity is equivalent to 800 watt of tungsten light
  • UVA Emission @ 1M = 0.1mw/cm2 (sunlight midday = 5-10mw/cm2)
  • UVB Emission @ 1M = less than 0.0003 uw/cm2
  • Power consumption is only 140 watt
  • 117VAC at 60HZ operation

NOTE: ALZO DAYLIGHT HID bulbs have a 5 minute warm up time and require a 5 minute cool down before they can be re-powered. A status light will indicate when the light is cooling off for auto restart.

Our ALZO economy video light configuration uses the ALZO 800 DAYLIGHT HID B&B with a low cost HOT light fixture. The ballast has special rubber straps on the back to facilitate attachment to a variety of post type structures.

 

You can use the ALZO 800 B&B to convert any medium screw base photo light fixture to an DAYLIGHT HID fixture. You will get more light with less heat. The distance between the bulb and ballast must not exceed 25 feet.

These are special Metal Halide bulbs (HID) specifically designed for Our ALZO DAYLIGHT HID lights. Bulb life is exceptional at about 7,000 hours. These bulbs require an ALZO DAYLIGHT HID electronic ballast light fixture.
